Itinerary

Morning arrival at Srinagar airport, where you will be picked up and transfer to Sonamarg (known as the gold meadows of Kashmir valley), on arrival at Sonamarg hotel meet and interact with other fellow riders. After refreshment it’s time to gather at hotel lobby for a brief introduction about the upcoming epic adventure journey. Post briefing it is now time to get familiarized with your Machine (The Royal Enfield) as well as mountain traffic. After test ride we will return back to hotel, time at leisure to stroll down in Sonamarg town.
The epic adventurous journey begins towards Kargil lies in union territory of Ladakh, A scenic ride going through bank of Indus River to approach Kargil en this ride we will cross over Zoji la pass (known as the “Mountain Pass of Blizzards) located between Union territories of Ladakh and Kashmir. Stop for lunch at Drass, the second coldest inhabited place in the world. Post lunch ride begin towards Kargil war memorial. This memorial is dedicated to the martyred soldiers who gave their lives for our tomorrow.
Another epic day begins of our trip. Today we enter the gorgeous and lush Suru Valley. The scenery is different from what we have being seeing previously. The Suru River keeps us company throughout the journey. On the way we cross Parkachik village, we get the soothing glimpse of greenery that keeps on increasing as we head towards Panikhar, Sankoo and finally to Padum followed by witness the Parkachik Glacier and the Nun-Kun Peaks. This day is epic in its own as we cross the DrangDrung Glacier, the second largest glacier in India after the Siachen Glacier and Pensi la Pass.
Post breakfast we will be one of the most adventurous track of Zanskar valley that you have definitely ever be on. Initial 40 km stretch is good tarmac but after that, it will disappear, and your affair with the unpaved/off road begins. This unexplored route will take you through a remotest part of Zanskar valley to connect Leh highway near Lamayuru. Through a narrow gorge, on roads barely wide enough, climbs so steep & up that you will encounter during the ride – It’s really a heart pumping ride that will remain impressed in the memory for life. *Note this road (Padum to Lamayuru via Photoksar) isn’t exist on google map (We hope you understand its topography, how it will be:-).
How quickly Zanskar valley adventures have passed. On day 5 we will begins our ride towards Ladakh region, before hitting the road to Leh we will visit Lamayuru monastery, one of the oldest and largest monasteries in the region. The ride is most scenic going through the bank of Indus River. The route is approximately 115 kilometers long and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. On the way stop at magnetic hill and confluence of Indus and Zanskar Rivers. End of the day reach at Leh (the capital city of Ladakh).
The day begins on your pace with a lavish breakfast at hotel, You may get relaxed at hotel or roam around in multi-colored Leh market to experience the Tibetan cultural, taste street food, shopping etc. Evening visit a beautiful and magnificent Tibetan structure “Shanti Stupa” and the splendid Leh Palace built it 17th century.
Morning early breakfast say good bye to Leh city and proceed to Nubra Valley, another spell of adventure begins with Khardung La, which is the prime bucket list of every rider, and it has duly earned its reputation as second highest motorable pass in the world. Situated at an altitude of 17982ft., it falls on a most scenic route in Ladakh region that serves as the gateway to Nubra valley and Siachen glacier. A 40km amazing ride to reach Khardung la top is in itself as exhilarating as it gets. Stop on the pass to capture the delighted achievement. Later continue towards Nubra valley followed by visiting Diskit monastery (the largest statue of Buddha). End of the day reach at Nubra valley (The land of Mongolian camels). If time permit, proceeds to the desert, where you can experience the double-humped camel ride or spend quality time ? in the heart of cold desert or you can cover it on next day.
After breakfast ride to Turtuk, known as the village divided by two countries borders. This picturesque village is the last major settlement of India before the Line of Control beyond which lies Pak occupied Kashmir. Turtuk was under Pakistan's control until the 1971 Indo-Pak war where it came under Indian governance. After visiting this hamlet return back to Nubra Valley on the way stop at Shyok war memorial.
Today proceeds towards Pangong Lake. This Lake is the largest salty water lake in Asia, situated on the Indian-Chinese border (at the height of (14300ft. above Sea Level). En route, we will stop at Shyok village for Lunch. Afternoon reach at camp-site located in front of the magnificent Pangong lake with breathtaking view high mountains, after refreshment at campsite witness the unforgettable Sun-set view at Pangong Lake.
Another action-pack adventurous ride hence we must start early from Pangong to reach Hanle before sunset. The ride begins toward the second highest optical telescope in the world following Chushul war memorial, Tsaga la and Rezang la. Dirt road prevails till Loma bend and takes huge ride time. Road blockages may lead to route change extending the ride hours by 2 to 3 hours. Riders need to have a mature attitude in such cases and cooperate with the team. We will stop at war memorials only if the Captain finds suitable as we are trying to reach Hanle before Sunset. Overnight stay at homestay/cottage at the remotest place. Please expect no luxuries.
On day 11th, the dream come true as today we will ride to newly opened pass in ladakh and we can proudly say that it is the highest motorable pass in the world (Umling la pass 19024 ft. higher than Mount Everest Base Camp), which has been listed in Guinness Book of World Records (GWR). Experience the 360° view of Himalayan range. This Day is very important for us. We will start our ride morning at 7:30 am to reach Umling la before lunch. This journey is very tough in terms of terrain as oxygen is very less compared to Hanle but it offers one of the breathing landscapes throughout the ride. On the return will ride back to Hanle via Photi la pass 18124ft. to experience the snake track ride with different mountains views.
Morning saddle-up and ride back to the capital city of Ladakh “Leh”, via Mahe bridge, on the way we cross many remote picturesque villages in chumathang valley, we stop at Upshi for lunch. Later continue ride to Leh town. End of the day check-in at your pre-booked hotel in Leh city. Evening time at leisure to explore Leh market.
A fairytale journey from Leh to Sarchu via crossing over Taglang la (5359 m) which is 3rd highest motor-able pass in the world and more plain a perfect blend of mountain-range-horizon, Lachung La (5065m), Nakee la (4740m) and Ghata loops (22 hair-pin bend would give breathtaking view of Himalayan mountains). End of the day reach at Sarchu campsite. A flatland along the Tsarap river surrounded by towering mountains in the lap of Himalayas.
How quickly these 13 days of adventure expedition have passed. On day 14 we will ride towards Manali, crossing over the giant Baralachha Pass (4850 meters). Stop at Darcha for Lunch. Post lunch continue ride to Manali via Atal tunnel going through Pir Panjal mountains range of Himalayas at 10000 ft. above sea level (world longest tunnel >9.5 km< above 3050 m. altitude). Afternoon reach at Manali After completing the sensational expedition, evening enjoy the farewell dinner with our cruise where we share the memorable moments of the expedition.
Morning will be free to visit Manali town on your own with few highlights like Hadimba Temple dedicated to Hadimba Devi, built in 1553 in a clearing among ancient deodars. The structure itself is relatively crude, and the pagoda is far from perfectly perpendicular. Massive deodar planks form the roof, but in contrast to the massive scale of the exterior wooden structures the brass image of the goddess Hadimba, After visiting the temple you have time to explore the Manali mall road market for shopping and taste some local cuisine. The most visited place of all visitors. Afternoon it’s time to say goodbye to mountains state as we will drop you at Manali Volvo bus stand to board the bus to Delhi.
