Morning arrive at Leh airport from Delhi. Tashi Delek to Ladakh, you will meet and greet with our ladakhi representative and proceeds to your pre-booked hotel. Since Leh is an altitude of 3500 meter above sea level hence due to high altitude, it is utmost importance that you walk or roam around in the town to prevent HAMS (high acute mountain sickness).
Post refreshment/acclimatization it is now time to get familiarized with your Machine (The Royal Enfield) as well as mountain traffic. After 01 hrs test ride we will return back to hotel, Evening will be free to go for last minute shopping in Leh market before entering the barren land of Indian Himalayas.
High on Himalayas is the theme of the day as today we will explore the Leh town with Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace and Thikshey monastery. Afternoon return back to the town and proceed to visit multi-colored Leh Market.
A beautiful and magnificent Tibetan town located at a height of 3500m, this beautiful town has many historical sites to explore which helps you witness splendid views of the entire city of Leh. Surrounded by the beautiful ranges of snow-capped mountains.
On day 3rd, the dream come true as today we will ride over world highest motor able road to approach Khardung la (5602 m), which has been listed in Guinness Book of World Records (GWR). Experience the 360° view of Himalayan range. After enjoying photography at Khardung la, we will start our ride towards Nubra valley (The land of Mongolian camels). On arrival at camp-site check-in. Post refreshment proceeds to the desert, where you can experience the double-humped camel ride or spend quality time in the heart of cold desert.
Today proceeds towards Pangong Lake, en-route visit the biggest statue of Buddha at Diskit. Pangong Lake is the largest salt water lake in Asia. This Lake situated on the Indian-Chinese border (at the height of (4360 m above Sea Level). En-route, we will stop at Shyok village for tea break. Lunch at Pangong with breathtaking view of brackish Lake, after refreshment at campsite witness the unforgettable Sun-set view at Pangong Lake.
Morning ride towards Pangong lake side to capture the mesmerizing views of deep brackish lake, Say goodbye to Pangong Lake and ride to Leh, crossing over the 2nd highest motor-able pass “(Chang la 5360 m)”. Stop for lunch at Karu village. Before reaching at Leh town we will take a stop at Thiksey monastery. Reach leh in the evening.
Post breakfast ride begin towards Lamayuru (known as moonland). The ride is most scenic going through the bank of Indus River. The route is approximately 115 kilometers long and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. On the way stop at magnetic hill and confluence of Indus and Zanskar Rivers. Afternoon reach at Lamayuru. Post refreshment at hotel visit Lamayuru monastery one of the oldest and largest monasteries in the region.
High on Himalayas is the theme of the day as today we will ride on the toughest route of Zanskar valley. It is total wilderness with no human habitations except few Maggie points on the road. Greenery totally disappears. Expect no traffic, barring the random Sumo/ Scorpio taxi (playing between Leh to Padum). This is truly a cliffhanger drive-the road cut out of the cliffs, hugging the River Zanskar which is in full spate. Late afternoon reach at Padum (the major town of Zanskar valley)
Today we are heading towards Purne, a remotest place in the Zanskar valley located few kilometers before Phuktal gompa, one of the main attractions of adventure lover. On arrival at campsite check-in and get refreshed, Later proceed for a short trek approx. 1 hrs to visit Phuktal gompa (if time permit). End of the day return back to campsite for overnight stay.
How quickly these 8 days of adventure expedition have passed. On day 9 we will ride towards Keylong, the last leg of the Ladkakh & Zanskar ride is a bit hard but with the best landscape. It takes time to cross Shinku la pass, picturesque grand mountain Gombo Rongjan (Mahakal) and few scenic villages i.e. Darcha & Jispa. Afternoon reach at Keylong. On arrival at hotel check-in and rest. Post refreshment we will proceed to administrative office to get the inner-line permit to enter the ILOC (International Line of Control) zone of Spiti Valley. During the official formalities we will have chance to explore the keylong local market.
Today we will starts towards Kaza, another spell of Trans Himalayan journey. Keylong to Kaza is approx. 120mile and it’ll take at least (7-8 hrs.) to complete the journey. It is definitely one of the most adventurous ride in the entire northern Himalayas but despite all encounter, it is also the most beautiful ride you’ll witness in a lifetime. On the way we will take few stops for tea/snacks. On reaching Kunzum pass top 4587m we'll stop here and paying regards at Kunzum mata temple (the temple of goddess Kaali) for safe journey. This temple situated midst the snow covered mountains and blue sky will look completely enthralling. Later we continue our ride towards Kaza via visiting Asia highest suspension bridge i.e. Chicham located above the Samba Lamba nallah. End of the day reach at Kaza hotel
Today we are riding to the biggest monastery of Spiti Vallley. Ki Monastery is a lifetime spiritual experience, situated on a hill top, around 4200m above sea level. Next, we will make a short stop at Langza & Hikkim village (it has world highest post office) at a height of 4440 above sea level. Where you can post a card to your dear one. ? later procced to Komic village and spend some memorable moments admiring the Gaya Peak (6000m). Komic village is world highest village situated at 4585m above sea level. With spiritual and tranquility experience, we will move towards Dhankar, it is an unexplored village of Spiti Valley. It’s a castle structure monastery on the cliff giving the breathtaking view of Spiti River. 360 degree topography from the monastery is an everlasting impression for everyone.
As evening falls, we will arrive at Tabo and turn in for the night.
A fairytale journey begins as today we are heading to Kalpa situated in Kinnaur valley. En-route admire the serenity of village life of Pooh & Sumdho. Interestingly, these scenic villages are situated on the bank of River Spiti. Stop for lunch at the pretty and unspoiled town of Nako, an enchanting experience awaits you as we make our way towards Kalpa; an enchanting village nestled in the towering white blanket wrapped holy Kinnaur Kailash mountains.
After breakfast we proceeds towards Shimla (the capital city of Himachal Pradesh, known as summer capital of British Era), today ride going through the jaw-dropping beauty of Kinnaur valley, traverse apple orchards, and will try some local Kinnauri dishes, on the way we stop at Sainj village for brilliant food. End of the day reach at Shimla and check-in at pre-booked hotels.
After completing the sensational motorbike expedition, a farewell dinner with our cruise members while all participants share their memorable moments of the journey.
Today you will be free to visit the heart of the town, “The Mall Road” It is one of the busiest commercial areas of Shimla. The Mall extends from Shimla judicatory in the eastern side to Vice Regal Lodge in the western side. It was built by the British during the colonial rule in India. the Mall Road was constructed keeping in mind the traffic on this route. Entry of vehicles is banned hence people love to come this place to walk around and try a local cuisine. The Mall road market has a number of restaurants that offers a wide range of Indian and continental cuisines.
Today it’s time to say goodbye to mountains state and drive back to Delhi airport to catch the international flight with unforgettable memories and exciting stories to recount.
